તમારા નામે 6 સિમ કાર્ડ રજિસ્ટર્ડ છે તો વહેલી તકે વેરિફિકેશન કરાવી લો, નહિ તો સિમ કાર્ડ બંધ થઈ જશે
ટેલિકોમ વિભાગે સિમકાર્ડ યુઝર્સ માટે એક નવો આદેશ જાહેર કર્યો છે. જમ્મુ કાશ્મીર, અસમ સહિત ઉત્તર પૂર્વ રાજ્ય સહિત સમગ્ર દેશમાં 6 કનેક્શનનો માલિક એક જ યુઝર હશે તો તેને સિમ વેરિફાય કરાવવું પડશે. વેરિફિકેશન નહિ થયું હોય તો સિમ કાર્ડ ડિસકનેક્ટ કરવા માટે આદેશ કરાયો છે.

તમારા નામે 6થી વધારે સિમ કાર્ડ છે તો શું થશે?
ટેલિકોમ વિભાગના આદેશ પ્રમાણે, ગ્રાહકો પાસે નક્કી કરાયેલી લિમિટ 6થી વધારે સિમ કાર્ડ હશે તો તેને સિમ કાર્ડ એક્ટિવ રાખવાનો અને બંધ કરવાનો ઓપ્શન મળશે. સિમ કાર્ડ એક્ટિવ રાખવા માટે ગ્રાહકે વેરિફિકેશન કરાવવું જરૂરી છે.
વેરિફિકેશન નહિ થયું હોય તો સિમ કાર્ડ બંધ થઈ જશે
ટેલિકોમ વિભાગે તમામ ટેલિકોમ ઓપરેટર્સને આદેશ આપ્યો છે કે, જે યુઝર્સ પાસે 6થી વધારે કાર્ડ હોય તેમને નોટિફિકેશન મોકલવી. આવા તમામ સિમ કાર્ડના આઉટગોઈંગ કોલ 30 દિવસની અંદર બંધ કરી દેવાશે. ઈન્કમિંગ કોલ 45 દિવસની અંદર બંધ થઈ જશે. ગ્રાહકોને એક્સ્ટ્રા સિમ સરેન્ડર કરવાનો વિકલ્પ મળશે.
જો ગ્રાહક તેના સિમ કાર્ડ વેરિફાય કરતો નથી તો તેને 60 દિવસની અંદર બંધ કરવામાં આવશે. ઈન્ટરનેશનલ રોમિંગ યુઝર, બીમાર અને વિકલાંગ યુઝરને 30 દિવસની વધારે ટાઈમ લિમિટ આપવામાં આવી છે.
ગુનાહિત ઘટનાઓની તપાસ માટે કડકાઈ
નાણાકીય ગુનાઓ, આપત્તિજનક કોલ્સ અને છેતરપિંડી સહિતની એક્ટિવિટી તપાસવા માટે ટેલિકોમ વિભાગે આ નિર્ણય લીધો છે. નિયમાનુસાર ઉપયોગમાં ન લેવાતા તમામ મોબાઈલ નંબર ડેટાબેઝથી હટાવવા માટે પણ સરકારે કંપનીઓને આદેશ આપ્યો છે.
સિમ માટે KYC જરૂરી
આ વર્ષે સપ્ટેમ્બરમાં જ સિમ કાર્ડ KYC નિયમોમાં ફેરફાર થયો છે. નવા નિયમ મુજબ નવાં કનેક્શન અથવા પ્રીપેડ નંબરને પોસ્ટપેડ અથવા પોસ્ટપેડને પ્રીપેડમાં બદલવા માટે ફિઝિકલ ફોર્મની મગજમારી નહિ રહે.
હવે નવાં કનેક્શન અને પોર્ટેબિલિટી માટે ડિજિટલ KYC કરાવવું પડશે. કંપનીની એપથી પણ ગ્રાહતો સેલ્ફ KYC કરી શકશે. તેના માટે ગ્રાહકે માત્ર 1 રૂપિયો આપવો પડશે.
If the verification is not done, the SIM card will be blocked
